Sebastián Martínez is a Venezuelan contemporary artist, currently based in the USA while pursuing his studies.
Sebastián’s artistic practice is defined by experimentation and a compelling curiosity for media. His work currently centers on the dynamic dialogue between vibrant acrylics and the timeless depth of oil painting. His extensive travels across Latin America—from Barquisimeto to Panama, the Dominican Republic, and notably, his formative period in Mexico City—have profoundly shaped his aesthetic.
Driven by a need to translate inner thoughts into visual language, Sebastián is dedicated to mastering traditional and modern techniques. His current focus is on refining his skill with oils, finding inspiration in his academic environment to push the boundaries of his emerging artistic voice.
